Sunday - A Different View of "Church"

JessieSunday began like most of my Sundays--with church. However, being in Cambodia never fails to challenge my perspectives. By worshiping alongside Cambodians speaking another language, reading in their Khmer Bible, your view of the Church (as a whole) drastically changes from being a bunch of white Americans singing songs in English, to a collection of individuals of all nationalities worshiping and praising the same God that sees and knows all in every culture. It's a great thing to be able to see God work in his Church, no matter where their location may be.

I am married to a woman who is originally from Phnom Penh. I met her in a restaurant here in Texas. We married shortly after. Through hardships in our marriage, I have come to God as never before. I am trying to help her come to Christ. I am not fully known of all the words in the Bible, but God gives me gifts of Wisdom that I myself could never have without God. I wanted to say keep up the good work in Cambodia. My wife has told me, though, that in Cambodia there are those who claim to the Missionaries. Instead of allowing people to come to Christ, these people bribe Khmer people to come to Christ and they will be fed, clothed, housed, and given money. I don't know if this is true, but how my wife tells things, she has seen the bad example of Christianity and is really having a hard time listening to me about God because of her past experiences with so called Christians doing God's work in Cambodia. Might if you all up there could check this out and see just what is going on. I would like to allow me wife to see true Christians doing God's work and exposing those who are NOT. Should such things come to pass that the wolves are exposed by shepherds, surely my wife would gain a new perspective on who we, Christians, are and how we truly do believe in doing the right over the wrong, thing.

I am glad and happy that God guided me to your site on the internet. Truly did God bring me to talk to you. I have been to Cambodia. If you would like to ask me things then feel free to write me via email that was provided.
