Freshman Fitness Week

Join the Department of Fitness and Recreation September 22nd-30th for Freshman Fitness week.  The purpose of the Freshman Fitness program is to offer healthy activities and educational resources to assist freshmen in the creation of new and healthy habits that will be a foundation for the rest of their lives.  Freshman Fitness will work to cultivate the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of wellness for all new students.

FitRec, along with University Ministries, Counseling Services, Health Services, SAPB, IFC, Panhellenic, and Sodexo will host several programs and events throughout the week. Some of the events include: Fall at the Wall, Cardio Dance Night, and an Open Mic Night featuring all freshmen performers.  Convocations will be offered everyday throughout the week on the various types of wellness.

We wanted to provide an easy visual to let you know which areas of wellness those specific programs were going to focus on.  Icons have been created to help identify each area of wellness.     Each of the five areas is important to one's total wellness and should be equally cared for.  Throughout Freshman Fitness the department will demonstrate various ways for students engage in all five areas of wellness.
