Sturgis Published, Interviewed
Dr. Amy H. Sturgis, Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies, has an article published in the latest issue of Apex Science Fiction and Horror Digest entitled "'Strange and Fearful Imaginations': Rediscovering the Terror of Baron de la Motte Fouqué," about the author of The Magic Ring, of which Sturgis recently edited the first scholarly English translation.
Sturgis also was interviewed as a scholarly expert by TheOneRing.net, the leading website for J.R.R. Tolkien-related news, on January 1 regarding the current controversy over the new film adaptation of Tolkien's The Hobbit: see "Amy Sturgis Talks 'The Hobbit.'"
